If you have an account, we hold your Twitch identity, your saved game setups, and your subscription status. If you are a viewer, we do not build a profile of you — but on Pro channels your display name can appear on a saved leaderboard, and is sent to our AI provider so the game can react to you by name. We do not sell anything to anyone and we run no advertising or analytics trackers.
The short version
- We do not sell or rent personal data. Ever.
- There are no advertising trackers and no analytics scripts on this site.
- We never see your card number — Stripe handles payments.
- We never see your Twitch password — Twitch handles sign-in.
- Viewers do not need accounts and we do not profile them.
If you have an account
When you sign in with Twitch, we store:
- Your Twitch identity — your Twitch user id, login and display name, and the email address Twitch supplies for your account. We use it to sign you in and to know which channel your games belong to.
- Your saved setups — your game settings, the TikTok @username you optionally connect, and the token that backs your OBS URL.
- Your subscription status — your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, your plan, its status and its renewal date. This is how Free and Pro are decided.
We do not store your card number, your Twitch password, or an access token that would let us act as you on Twitch.
If you are a viewer
You never create an account and we never ask you for anything. When you type in a streamer’s chat or send a gift, that message is already public on the platform you sent it on. The game reads it to work out what happened.
On Free channels, nothing about you is written to our database. Scores are kept only inside the streamer’s own browser source (its local storage), never on our servers, and the streamer can clear them at any time.
On Pro channels, the streamer can keep a leaderboard between streams. For that we store your display name, a per-platform identifier for you, and your score and wins on that channel. Nothing else — no message history, no email address, no cross-channel profile. Your entries on one streamer’s leaderboard are not linked to another’s.
The streamer decides whether to run a leaderboard and for how long. If you want your entry removed, ask the streamer, or contact us at hello@ascellastudios.com and we will remove it.
What the AI sees
On Pro channels, the commentary, quiz host and boss dialogue are generated live by Anthropic’s Claude. To do that we send a short description of what just happened in the game — for example that a duck won, or that a viewer landed a big hit — and that description includes viewer display names, because reacting to people by name is the point of it.
We do not send chat history, email addresses, or account details. On Free channels no AI call is made at all: the lines come from bundled content shipped with the product.
Who else touches it
We use these services to run the product. Each sees only what it needs to:
| Service | Why | What it sees |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, authentication and file storage | Account records, saved game setups, saved leaderboard entries |
| Vercel | Website and API hosting | Request logs and IP addresses, as part of normal server operation |
| Stripe | Subscription payments | Billing details, which are handled by Stripe — we never receive or store card numbers |
| Twitch | Sign-in, and reading public chat | Your Twitch account identity; publicly posted chat messages |
| Anthropic | AI commentary, quiz hosting and boss dialogue (Pro only) | Game events and viewer display names, sent so the AI can react to them by name |
| TikTok | Reading a connected channel's public live stream | Publicly posted comments, gifts and viewer display names on that stream |
| TikTok relay host (Railway/Render/Fly) | Hosts the small service that reads a connected TikTok live stream | The streamer's TikTok @username; public comments, gifts and viewer display names passing through |
| EulerStream | Request signing for the TikTok connection (only when configured) | The connection request for the streamer's public @username; no viewer data |
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising or cross-context behavioural advertising.
How long we keep it
- Account data — while your account exists. Delete your account and it goes with it.
- Leaderboard entries — until the streamer resets them, or the streamer’s account is deleted.
- Billing records — retained by us and by Stripe for as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after you cancel.
- Server logs — retained briefly by our hosting provider for security and debugging.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, take a copy of it elsewhere, or object to how we use it. You will never be treated differently for exercising these rights.
Email hello@ascellastudios.com and we will respond within 30 days. Viewers can use the same address — you do not need an account to ask.
If you are in the UK or EU and are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
The Service is not directed at children, and account holders must be old enough to hold a Twitch account. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child’s data has ended up on a leaderboard, tell us and we will remove it.
International transfers
Our providers operate internationally, so your data may be processed outside the country you live in, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on the standard safeguards those providers offer for international transfers.
Changes
If we change what we collect or who we share it with, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Significant changes will be notified to account holders before they take effect.
